1. Anti-Bullying Policy
Vivekananda International School is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where every child feels secure, valued, and protected. Bullying in any form is strictly prohibited.
Definition: Bullying is any intentional, repeated behaviour that causes physical, emotional, or psychological harm. This includes:
- Verbal: Name-calling, teasing, threats
- Physical: Hitting, pushing, damaging property
- Social: Exclusion, rumours, isolating peers
- Cyber: Online harassment, digital misuse
School Stand: We follow a zero-tolerance policy. Complaints are handled confidentially, sensitively, and promptly.
Corrective Actions: Actions include counselling, verbal warnings, written apologies, withdrawal of privileges, or suspension.
2. Child Protection & Safety
(As per CBSE Guidelines)
The school strictly prohibits physical punishment, emotional/mental abuse, discrimination, and sexual misconduct.
Reporting: Concerns must be reported immediately to the School Child Protection Committee or the Principal.
3. Parent Responsibility Charter
Parents are valued partners and are expected to:
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
- Check school diaries, circulars, and messages regularly.
- Attend PTMs and maintain respectful communication with staff.
- Support school decisions related to discipline and academics.
Note: Constructive feedback is welcome through official channels.
4. Discipline & Behaviour Policy
Discipline is educative, corrective, and reformative, not punitive. We focus on Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Self-discipline.
Corrective Measures: Verbal warning, counselling, written notice to parents, or temporary suspension.
